6th State of the Sacramento River Watershed Conference

The Sacramento River Watershed Program, in conjunction with the Sacramento River Preservation Trust and Sacramento River Conservation Forum,
hosted the successful 6th State of the Sacramento River Watershed Conference on Thursday, October 27, 2005, at the Red Bluff Community and Senior Center.
Conference attendees heard from local experts about important issues in the Sacramento River Watershed. The event was kicked off with a panel discussion on the status of the CALFED Bay-Delta Program and its effect on the Sacramento River Watershed and its
residents. The panel discussion was followed with workshops focused on six categories:
- Habitat Restoration
- Fisheries and Wildlife
- Water Quality
- Invasive Plants
- Water and Watershed Education
- River Access and Recreation
There was also a GIS/High-Tech Room that allowed conference participants a chance to check out the latest technology in watershed tools. There were also many sponsor exhibits in the main hall.
