Hilton Sacramento Arden West, Sacramento, CA

The California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD) is pleased to continue the tradition of bringing together the conservation community from around the state. CARCD is soliciting abstracts for presentations, special sessions, and poster papers for our 2017 Annual Meeting and Conference: Dynamic Partnerships, Relevant Results.

When it comes to conservation of natural resources, California is one of the most influential and forward thinking states in the country. At the center of this momentum is Sacramento—this year's Annual CARCD Conference host city—an ideal nexus where innovative policy and dynamic partnerships can make the vision of natural resource enhancement on public and private lands a reality. RCDs, local partners, and state and federal agencies manifest conservation successes statewide by cultivating inclusive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders on every level. When each partner brings specialized knowledge to the table, challenges can be met head on with multi-faceted expertise and efficiency. Public and private partnerships can build capacity for projects by emphasizing participants’ perspectives and skills, creating a synergistic and collaborative advantage that can bring strategic planning and project implementation to the next level. Together, we are larger than the sum of our individual parts; together, we can develop and enact solutions to bring relevant results to California’s diverse landscapes.
